Çiğdem Kağıtçıbaşı is one of the founders of the Turkish Academy of Sciences. After working many years at Boğaziçi University, currently she gives lectures at Koç University. She earned her undergraduate degree from Wesley College in USA and then she completed her PhD in the field of social psychology at Berkeley University in California. She also worked as a guest lecturer in Duke, Columbia, Harvard and California-Berkeley Universities. She served as vice president of the World Psychology Association. She received a number of awards from very respectable international scientific organizations, including American Psychology Association, for her scientific contributions. In her research, she examines the interaction between human development and family from a cross-cultural perspective. She developed intercultural self and family model. She develops many projects in AÇEV, Mother Child Education Foundation, and her mother-child education and early enrichment projects are implemented in many provinces. Some of her published books are Family, Self and Human Development Across Cultures, Success Begins in Family, Multi Purpose Training Model, Cultural Psychology and Family and Human Development Across Cultures.

Nazlı Baydar received her PhD in Brussels, Vrjie University and completed her post-doctoral work on advanced statistical modeling approaches in Stanford, Princeton and Columbia Universities. After working in the field of education and health in the United States, she began teaching at Koç University in 2001. Her research interests are single-parent families, poverty, birth of siblings and the impact of having a working mother on children from pre-school through adolescence. In her research, she focuses on two main factors: parenting and genetics. Her interests in developmental process led her to the develop measurements in this area. She is also interested in children’s cognitive and socio-emotional development in socio-cultural groups and developmental stages.

Zeynep Cemalcılar completed her PhD in 2003 at Texas University. Her main research area is applied social psychology. Her recent research is on education system in Türkiye. In her previous research, she concentrated on the impact of school factors on student’s sense of school belonging which is a great indicator of later academic achievement. In another study, she focused on primary school enrollment and drop-out problem in Türkiye. She continues her PhD program in Istanbul University, Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Developmental Psychology. She completed her Master’s degree in Istanbul University, Department of Developmental Psychology. Her thesis topic is the relationship between attachment of pre-school children, parental attitudes and parental attachment security. She has been working in the PERGEL project since June 2012. She is working as an executive assistant and trainer. Her interests in the field of developmental psychology are attachment, parental attitudes, parental conflict and children's perception, temperament and personality development.

She is a third-year PhD Candidate in Koç University, Department of Psychology. She completed her undergraduate degree in Boğaziçi University, Department of Sociology. Then, she completed her Master’s degree in Koç University, Department of Comparative Studies in History and Society. Her Master's thesis is about gender-role attitudes and expectations of high school senior students in single-sex and coeducational schools. She has been working in the PERGEL project as a research assistant and trainer since March 2012. Her other areas of interests are gender, education, career development, success definitions of men and women entrepreneurs and definitions of culture in globalization.

She completed her Master’s degree in Louisiana Tech University, in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. She is actively involved in several social-governmental organizations as a volunteer. She has been working as a trainer in the PERGEL project since February 2013. Her primary area of interest is social psychology with also having interest in social development, culture and self, the place of women in social life.
